Smith & Webster Restaurant Miami

So my friends and I decided to eat dinner here. We made reservations but they got our time wrong and we had to wait even longer. We sat at the bar Ella was amazing and made awesome drinks. While we waited we sat at the bar and ordered appetizers. The oysters were not good. The salmon sliders were great along with spinach artichoke dip. We moved from the bar to the table and had to wait another 10-15 minutes to be greeted. Overall service was blah and we never got to order food because after being here for 2 hours they were out of a lot of things. So we asked to server for 2 minutes to review the menu she didn’t come back for about 15-20 minutes. We decided not to eat because it was almost now 9:30. This is the Coral Springs location. Probably will not return. I feel like I need to come early just for good service, which makes no sense.

I just have to say my experience went great. The customer service was a 10/10. I believe the manager name may have been Jason I’m sorry if that’s wrong but he was very patient and accommodating with my reservation party. The atmosphere is really dope and they even have a nice section where you can take pictures. Once we were sat we were given a warm introduction about the restaurant and how the food has flavor. She wasn’t lying! Everyone in my party loved their food. The salmon and grits were so flavorful. The biscuits?? Amazing. My friends loved the catfish and grits too. Also the passion fruit mimosa tower was really good! My friends all thanked me for having us go to this place because they really liked it. So happy to have support a black owned business with great service. I’ll definitely be back.

Upscale soul food restaurant located in North Miami Beach, very nice inside but small. The food was amazing and the grits was creamy and delicious. The peach and mint lemonade drinks was amazing and the fish was cooked to perfection. The honey butter biscuit is basic and not really worth $5.00 and if I order again i would prefer without the honey cause it was too much poured on and too sweet for my liking. The only con I can say is the place is small and the tables are too close to each other and you’re very close to other guests. There’s a 18% service charge on your bill and you can give an additional tip if you like. I would love to come back and try dinner.

This is our second time here and it’s just as excellent as the first time! From the valet service to the server, Paige, to the manager that comes out and checks on each table. The drinks, the food, even the coffee were all great! We had the Oysters Rockefeller… collard greens not spinach, thank you! The Crispy Shrimp-dripping in honey (more insulin please). I had the pork chop- tender throughout and huge. Not sure what my wife had, she ate it too fast!

We were welcomed into this warm environment from the valet to the table by all the staff. Nice set up and music. The atmosphere was comfortable. Bathroom is very clean and spacious. The meals that we ate were delicious. I had fried chicken, Mac n cheese, jasmine rice and collard greens (a little salty for me) w/smoked turkey. You'll definitely want to eat more. My son ate every drop of his seafood rice with salmon and shrimp. His side order of Mac n cheese could have been a meal alone. Thank you Ebony for serving us. We appreciate your pleasantness. We will dine here again when we return to Miami.

Smith & Webster is definitely a restaurant everybody should try! My friends and I went, so I was able to try quite a bit of items off the menu. For appetizers, we had the crispy shrimp, and they were amazing! I recommend everyone ordering their own order of shrimp (you get 6 per order). The smoked chicken wings are flavorful and smoky. I ended up getting the oxtail lasagna, and it was okay. The oxtail was tender, and the flavors were good. I also ordered the fried chicken meal to go, and it came with a biscuit with this butter sauce, Mac n cheese, rice, and collard greens. When I say everything tastes amazing, I mean it. Smith & Webster don't play when it comes to side dishes! Most side dishes feel like an overthought at some establishments, but not here. Flavor isn't missed on anything! The sweet potato soufflé is good as hell, the black-eyed peas are good as hell, and the greens are good as hell 😂. My friend ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes, and it was a very thick and juicy cut! Did I mention good as hell? The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the music was a vibe. I'd definitely go again. The price point is worth it as well.

From the valet to the end of the meal, everything was great. The drinks - Amaretto sour and the Elixir were perfectly mixed. The oysters were scrumptious, as were the shrimp. The pork chop was tender. The branzino perfectly seasoned. The sides, the jasmine rice, greens and honey butter biscuit were perfect accompaniments. Fresh brewed coffee. A house manager who cares about your experience and a stellar waitress, Paige, made a long work week okay. Definitely coming back again and again.

If you haven’t heard about Smith & Webster Restaurant and Bar, now you have. My friends took me here to celebrate my birthday, and every single dish we had was delicious. Their tagline is an elevated dining experience with exceptional customer service and food. That is very true, and I highly recommend this Black-owned restaurant. Shout out to our server Kenny, who was exceptional in her service. Note: Didn't notice a dedicated parking for this restaurant. So we ended up paying five dollars for the valet. They do charge a service charge, but that’s for the overall staff, so a tip is separate.
